– 2024-07-09 17:20:27″>PwC Azerbaijan together with AmCham and COP29 held high-level seminars on the topic “How to read and understand ESG reports” on October 21 and 22. The purpose of these workshops was to raise awareness of the importance of environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting for businesses in Azerbaijan. The event brought together media representatives, business leaders and the scientific community to discuss ESG standards and their impact on business.
As Day.Az reports with reference to Trend, as Azerbaijan moves towards creating a unified ESG platform, PwC Azerbaijan plays a key role in training and preparing businesses to comply with international ESG standards. The events highlighted the growing importance of transparency, corporate responsibility and the role of business in addressing environmental issues and promoting social progress.
The seminars included valuable comments from industry leaders, including representatives from PwC Azerbaijan, Coca-Cola, Harvard Business Review, COP29, AmCham and other stakeholders. Discussions focused on practical approaches to ESG reporting and the importance of following global sustainability trends.
PwC experts, including senior audit managers Gunay Askarova and Sevinj Alakparova, presented technical aspects and the preparation of ESG reports. Leyla Sadikhova, Senior Manager for Legal and ESG Services, provided an overview of ESG culture and development in Azerbaijan in accordance with COP trends and global standards.
It was recently reported that a document on national contributions is being prepared for Azerbaijan.
