Pyeongtaek City (Mayor Jeong Jang-seon) announced on the 27th that it held the “2024 4th Pyeongtaek City Cooperation Meeting and Working Committee Integrated Workshop” at Pyeongtaek Spatial Aesthetics.
At this meeting, ▲the status of the project to revitalize cooperation in 2024, ▲report on the budget for cooperation in 2025, and ▲the status of the promotion of the cooperation agenda were shared. After the conclusion of the cooperation meeting, under the theme of ‘Looking back, moving forward,’ public discussion, cultural diffusion, citizen participation, etc. were shared. An integrated workshop was held among the four subcommittees of the Agenda Formation Working Committee.
Through the collaborative cooperation workshop, each working committee had time to share their activity status and reflections through various methods such as plays, PPTs, and videos, including ▲recognition for contribution to revitalizing public-private cooperation ▲watching cooperation videos and music ▲cooperation lectures ▲sharing working committee activities.
Co-Chairman Lee Jang-hyun said in his lecture, “Now is the time to evaluate the cooperation we have experienced over the past six years. “It is necessary to share not only achievements but also failure experiences,” he said. “Let’s think together about what we need to protect and change in an era where sensitive senses like snakes are needed.”
Mayor Jeong Jang-seon said, “Pyeongtaek City is currently in the process of experiencing and learning cooperative governance. “A sufficient deliberation and public discussion process on local issues is absolutely necessary and important,” he said. “We will continue to do our best to promote policies by collecting diverse opinions through sufficient communication.”
Meanwhile, Pyeongtaek City (Mayor Jeong Jang-seon) held the ‘Pyeongtaek City Local Public Security Council for the second half of 2024’ in the conference room on the second floor of the Pyeongtaek City Local Food Center on Monday, December 30. This council was attended by 40 people, including related organizations such as Pyeongtaek Police Station and Pyeongtaek Marine Police Station, 12 civic groups related to public security, and heads of business-related departments, and discussed ways to cooperate to strengthen the safety of the local community.
At this council, in order to discuss ways to collaborate, Pyeongtaek Police Station and Pyeongtaek Marine Police Station presented on the current state of security and discussed requests for cooperation in security work.
The Pyeongtaek Police Station reported on various measures to prevent crime and strengthen resident safety along with an analysis of the security situation this year, and the Pyeongtaek Marine Police Station also reported on the current status of coastal accidents and prevention implementation plans.
As for the agenda for the meeting regarding requests for cooperation in public security work, various agenda items were discussed to create a safe Pyeongtaek City, such as ▲ request for cooperation to enhance crime prevention activities of the autonomous crime prevention unit ▲ improvement of crime prevention facilities and reinforcement of traffic safety ▲ request for cooperation in publicity regarding unapproved drone flights.
Mayor Jeong Jang-seon said, “I hope that this public security council will be an opportunity to establish community security through active collaboration between institutions and organizations, and that Pyeongtaek City can become a city that is safe from various crimes and accidents.”
This Public Security Council pledged to make joint efforts for the safety of the community and served as an important opportunity to lay the foundation for a better security environment in the future.
