Pyeongtaek City (Mayor Jeong Jang-seon) participated in the ‘KES 2024 (Korea Electronics Show)’ (hereinafter referred to as the Korea Electronics Show), which was held at COEX in Seoul for four days from the 22nd to the 25th, and promoted key industries and investments in Pyeongtaek City’s strategic industries such as semiconductors, hydrogen, and future automobiles. It was announced that activities were carried out to attract corporate investment through the operation of the exhibition, including explanations on the environment and investment incentives.
The Korea Electronics Show, which celebrates its 55th anniversary this year, is Korea’s representative technology exhibition and is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. This year, 550 companies and 1,400 booths will be installed, and more than 70,000 visitors will visit IT and electronics experts and investors. Through the operation of this promotional center, the city attracted visitors by promoting corporate investment strategies that include investment environment such as Pyeongtaek City’s development plan, industrial complex sales status, investment incentive system, and transportation and living environment such as Jije Station complex transfer center.
In particular, the city focuses on attracting materials, parts, equipment companies and research institutes to the Brain City general industrial complex and nearby general industrial complexes linked to the ‘National High-Tech Strategic Industry Semiconductor Specialty Complex’ designated by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, as well as semiconductor, hydrogen, and He said that he is working to build an ecosystem for future industries, including the future automobile sector.
Pyeongtaek Mayor Jeong Jang-seon said, “We are promoting a human resources training project through the Korea Industrial Promotion Agency to support companies to find good employment in local companies by training customized human resources. We are also promoting the establishment of an industrial ecosystem so that companies and employment in the region can form a virtuous cycle. “We are creating a good environment for doing business by improving the transportation environment for workers to and from work and the residential environment,” he said. “We will do our best to attract investment so that many companies can invest in our city.”
In addition, a city official said, “We ask for your interest and participation in the ‘2024 Pyeongtaek City Investment Promotion Information Session’ scheduled to be held near Jije Station in Pyeongtaek (Ann Felis Convention) on November 26, 2024, and said, ‘A place where dreams become reality, a place to do business. “We will continue to make great efforts to attract investment so that it can become a ‘good Pyeongtaek,’” he said.
