One of the most anticipated shows of this season starts tomorrow at the Neos Akadimos theater with a great cast of actors.

Happy Productions has exclusively acquired the rights and presents, the masterpiece of Samuel D. Hunter “THE WHALE” (The Great Whale) commanded Dadakarides Pygmalion.

…a moving, liberating, anthropocentric drama of man falling from his darkness into the light.

The play, originally written in 2012 for the theatre, has been successfully presented in the world’s biggest cities. In 2022, Darren Aronofsky brought it to the cinema, receiving rave reviews and several awards.

Pygmalion Dadakaridis: Unrecognizable as Charlie in “The Whale”

Case

Charlie, a self-destructive, morbidly obese English teacher, who has lost all contact with the outside world, as well as all desire to continue living, “sinfully” in time waiting to be redeemed from life itself. He struggles to come to terms with his estranged daughter and his own past.

The Whale pushes you to find your humanity in characters who are neither good nor bad, with rich and complex inner lives. They have all made mistakes, but they share a desire to love even when others seem unable to.

It is a story that asks the essential question: can we save each other? This is important today, especially when people seem to be turning away from their neighbors.
