This came in a statement from the Foreign Press Section of the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Korea, and the statement said: “North Korea will closely monitor the security situation on the Korean Peninsula, which is becoming increasingly tense due to the obsession of the United States and his followers with the idea of nuclear war, while North Korea continues to take practical measures in order to prepare for a long-term nuclear confrontation with the United States.
The statement revealed that the American-South Korean nuclear planning advisory group recently conducted simulation exercises in this area, which basically aims to “develop a military conspiracy against North Korea at a later date.”
The statement emphasized that the current significant deterioration in the security situation on the Korean Peninsula and in the region in general.
North Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deep concern over the “reckless behavior of hostile forces that increases the risk of nuclear conflict,” and emphasized that the blackmail and nuclear threat of America would be curbed by improving our country’s defense capabilities.
Earlier, the United States and South Korea signed joint guidelines on nuclear deterrence, warning that any North Korean nuclear attack against the South would be met with a “swift, large and decisive” response.
