A match between Pyotr Nesterov and Marcelo Arevalo will kick off the Davis Cup match between Bulgaria and El Salvador.
This determined the draw for the World Group II match of the men’s tennis team, which will be held on September 14 and 15 at the Lokomotiv TC courts in Plovdiv.
The lot was drawn in the building of the Plovdiv municipality by the two-time Olympic champion in canoe-kayak Nikolay Bukhalov.
In the second singles on Saturday, Janaki Milev (#569) and Cesar Cruz will play against each other.
Sunday’s program will begin with the doubles match, which pits Alexander Donski and Nesterov against Arevalo (Roland Garros men’s doubles champion in 2022 and 2024 and US Open semi-finalist earlier this month) and Luis Mirayes .
Next up are the matches between Nesterov vs. Cruz and Milev vs. Arevalo.

If they win, Bulgaria will play in February next year for promotion to World Group I. If they lose, again in February, they will have to go through a playoff to stay in World Group II.
