Pythian’s Revenue Soars 175% as Gemini Fuels Google Cloud Growth

Pythian, a leading Google Cloud partner specializing in data, analytics, and AI, experienced a remarkable 175% surge in Google Workspace revenue last year, driven by the adoption and implementation of Gemini, Google’s generative AI model. The company’s CEO, Brooks Borcherding, anticipates continued momentum in 2026, reinforcing a bullish outlook on the future of AI-powered services.

Gemini’s Impact on Workspace Services

“We predicted last year that Gemini was going to drive Workspace services, and we saw that come to fruition for sure,” Borcherding stated. This substantial growth, according to the company, is directly attributable to effective change management surrounding Gemini adoption and the accelerated deployment of the technology within the Workspace ecosystem. The integration of Workspace Gemini with Enterprise Gemini is creating a compelling narrative for customer engagement.

Pythian’s success underscores the growing demand for AI-driven solutions within the enterprise. The company, recognized as the 2025 Google Cloud Database Partner of the Year for North America, is uniquely positioned to capitalize on this trend.

An ‘AI-First’ Strategy

Looking ahead to 2026, Pythian is prioritizing an “AI-first mentality” across all facets of its business. This involves not only assisting clients with AI adoption but also embracing Gemini internally for all employees. “We’re really pushing them to adopt Gemini, to look at how they can build their own agents, look at how they can change the way that they do their work and drive their work more efficiently,” a senior official explained.

This internal focus extends to improving operational efficiency through AIOps, automating ticket responses, and enhancing customer infrastructure. The company recognizes that the increasing demand for AI is also driving demand for its core data engineering and data analytics services, highlighting the symbiotic relationship between AI and data hygiene.

Google Cloud Partner Network Enhancements

The launch of Google Cloud’s new Google Cloud Partner Network on January 15 is also viewed positively by Pythian. Previously, demonstrating value and securing appropriate credit for work done with Google was a largely manual process. “It’s always been very much a manual effort to try to make sure you’re getting credit for everything that you’re doing for Google in the past,” Borcherding noted. The new network’s AI-powered capabilities promise to streamline this process, providing valuable insights and a more accurate measurement of partner success.

A Strategic Alignment with Google Cloud

With Alphabet recently surpassing a $4 trillion market capitalization, Pythian’s decision to focus exclusively on Google Cloud appears increasingly prescient. Borcherding affirmed that Google was the “obvious partner” due to the company’s data-centric approach and its complete AI stack. “You really can’t compete when you’re looking at it from a services partner perspective,” he said.

Pythian’s key metrics – influence, direct revenue, and field engagement – have all shown significant year-over-year growth from 2024 to 2025, and the company anticipates this positive trajectory will continue into 2026. From all indications, Pythian is confident in its strategic alignment with Google Cloud and poised for continued success in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
