by times news cr

Today, as part of the 3rd round of the Europa League, Qarabag will host the Dutch team Ajax.

On the eve of the game, İdman.biz reviewed the statistical indicators of the teams based on the results of the first two rounds of the current stage.

Both teams have numbers 1 and 5 in the goal column. However, unlike the Amsterdammers, in Qarabag the number 1 indicates goals scored, and the number 5 indicates missed goals.

4 of Ajax’s 5 goals were scored with the right foot, and 1 with the left. The Agdam club player scored the only goal with his right foot.

Although the Dutch club is in 6th place with 4 points, and Qarabag, without points, is in 34th place, in the first two matches, unlike our opponents, our team had more possession of the ball on the field. If for the representative of Azerbaijan this figure is 51.5%, then for our guests it is 49.5%.

Qarabag has an advantage in the number of shots on goal. Of our team’s 26 shots, 6 were aimed at the target, 14 missed the target, 6 were blocked. Although the enemy is behind in the number of strikes, he is superior in accuracy. Of the 23 shots, 11 were on target, 9 were off target, and 3 were blocked. From outside the penalty area, “Qarabag” converted 1 out of 18 shots into goals, and “Ajax” – 4 out of 17. From long range, our players shot 8 times, and the Amsterdam players – 6, the last one scoring once.

Although both teams took one penalty, Qarabag failed to convert theirs.

The Aghdam club lags behind in the number of attacks. If our team organized 61 attacks over two games, then in Ajax their number was 72.

In terms of the number of corners, Qarabag has a more than double advantage – 16-7. The advantage in the number of free kicks is on the side of Ajax – 33-23. Unlike the opponent, who was offside only once, our team did this 8 times.

Both teams have 16 dribbles.

The Azerbaijani club surpasses the opponent both in the number and accuracy of passes. Of the 971 transmissions, 836 (86.5%) reached the recipient. The opponent’s 637 out of 768 passes (82%) were accurate. We were accurate with 60% of our long passes, while the Dutch were only 36.4%.

“Garabagh”, superior to its opponent in one-on-one combat (54.5%-50.3%), lags behind it in the air (30.6%-39.3%).

Our team has 5 goalkeeper saves, Ajax has 7.

Our players committed 20 fouls in 2 matches, and the opponent – 28. “Qarabag” has only 1 yellow card, the representative of the Netherlands has 10 yellow and 1 red.
