The controversy over the paint had even reached legal action. Airbus announced the decision on Friday. Qatar Airways and Airbus appeared in court in London in December following a series of issues related to the Airbus A350 aircraft.

It was noticed that the paint on the recently launched A350 aircraft was shaky and damaged. Authorities complained that copper shields, a protective shield, could be seen outside the paint when lightning strikes. Poor quality of paint was found to cause safety issues. 21 of the 53 planes landed and demanded $ 600 million in damages.

Qatar Airways posted a video on social media on Friday saying the airline was underlining serious and legal issues. However, the EU’s Aviation Safety Agency independently assessed the problem and found no security issues.

Airbus said in a document prepared for trial in a London court on Thursday that there was no reasonable or justified basis for flying Qatar’s A350 aircraft. Qatar Airways has denied Airbus’ claims.
