National Day with celebrations
Qatar is celebrating National Day under the theme ‘Conservation of Heritage Greenery’. This year, the Qatar National Day Organizing Committee will be hosting a variety of events on the theme of environmental protection and heritage. Celebrations will be held at Al Wakrah Old Souk, Aspire Park, Al Rami Sports Club and the Qatar Foundation. Expatriates can attend events with locals everywhere. Vehicles adorned with Qatari flags and visuals reflecting nationality will take over the streets. Live streaming of events will be displayed on large screens.
For tickets taken until December 18th
Tickets taken up to the 18th of this month, Qatar National Day, will receive a discount. Tickets for travel from December 26 to June 15 next year will be discounted. Special offers have also been announced for Qatar Airways Privilege Club members. They get double quilts for economy class travel and double queue points for premium travel during this period. The celebrations at Wakrah Souk began
The National Day celebrations will feature a variety of entertainment and games for children that evoke Qatar’s heritage and heritage. Today marks the start of events at Al Wakrah Souk. The competitions and events will continue till December 18. An exhibition of old rafts and textiles, an environmental painting exhibition by local painters and riding competitions also started at the Al Wakrah Souk. Folk games like Sadd O Rad, Bar O Bahr and Kiram are also part of the competition this time.
Attractive parade of school students
The parade of school children is another important item in the festivities this time. From today until December 18 there will be spectacular parades by selected school students at Aspire Park and Al Wakrah Souk. The Al Muqattar Festival at Aspire Park will feature a variety of events that introduce Qatar’s culture and heritage to other visitors and reclaim folk art.
