Doha: Qatar Airways has become the main principal partner of Bangalore Royal Challengers in the new season of the Indian Premier League. The contract is for three years for Rs 75 crore. This is the first time that Qatar Airways has taken up the sponsorship of Indian sports.
Virat Kohli’s RCB will take to the field in the IPL season starting on March 31 under the brand Qatar Airways. Virat Kohli along with captain Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell released the team’s new jersey at a function held in Qatar last day. As the main sponsor of the team, Qatar Airways has also introduced a special package for fans to watch the matches.
Qatar Airways has prepared a specialty lounge at Chinnaswamy Stadium, the home ground of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Qatar Airways has also announced packages that will provide fans with IPL match tickets under Holidays. As part of the package, fans will have the opportunity to watch the team’s training session, meet the players and take pictures.
