Doha: Qatar Energy has announced a significant five-year crude oil supply agreement with Singapore-based Shell Company. The deal will see Qatar supplying up to 18 million barrels of crude oil per year to Shell, with deliveries set to commence from January.

The agreement will cover both land and marine crude oils, marking another milestone in Qatar’s efforts to strengthen its position as a leading global energy supplier.

Saad Sharida Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy and CEO of Qatar Energy, expressed his delight at signing the agreement, noting that it will further solidify the strong relationship between the two companies. Al Kaabi also emphasized the importance of Shell as a major customer and strategic partner for Qatar Energy.
