Doha അ Adidas has released the football to use for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The makers claim the ball, dubbed ‘Al Rihla’, is the fastest in World Cup history. Francisco Lഫflemann, adidas design director, commented that football’s speed is increasing and accordingly the accuracy and consistency of the ball is important.
The ball can be purchased on the adidas website. The ball will also be available at the company’s retail stores from March 30. This is the 14th time in a row that a German company is designing a ball for the World Cup. One percent of the proceeds from the sale of the ball will be used for charitable causes. The Arabic word al-Rihla means journey. The ball is inspired by Qatar’s architecture, boats and the national flag.
