Qatar unveiled the world’s largest football boot ahead of the 2022 World Cup

The host of the World Cup, Qatar, a small emirate in the north-east of the Arabian Peninsula, has once again shown the world what can be done with “a little” extra money. In honor of the soccer world cup competition, the country presented a new world record – the largest soccer shoe in the world.

The shoe, about five meters long and two and a half meters high, weighs over 500 kg. It was created from the same materials used to make regular soccer shoes and was painted white with three diagonal blue lines. It took the creator a total of seven months to create it.

The impressive shoe was created by M Dileef, an artist who holds other world records in the Guinness Book of Records, including the world’s longest Quran, as well as the world’s largest pen, bicycle and screwdriver.

The unveiling event was presided over by the chief guest, Dr. Deepak Mittal, Ambassador of India to Qatar. Other guests were also present at the event, including the CEO of the Qatar Center for Public Diplomacy, Darwish Ahmed Al Sheibani, as well as the creator, M Dileef. During the event, there was a cultural procession that presented the cultural ties between Qatar and India, and artists from different countries in India appeared on the spot, alongside students from Indian schools.

The 2022 World Cup kicked off tonight, Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.
