Doha: Qatar will not impose value added tax (VAT) immediately, Finance Minister Ali Bibi Ahmad al-Quwari reported. In an interview with a television channel during the Qatar Economic Forum, he explained that such taxes would be implemented at an inopportune time.
Of the Gulf states, only Qatar and Kuwait have yet to implement the VAT. He said tax reform was one of their future plans. He said last year that the Kovid context would not immediately impose another burden on the people and that it had not decided when the value-added tax would be implemented. A fishing boat has crashed and rescued three people who were stranded at sea
Muscat: The Department of Civil Defense and Ambulance has rescued three people stranded at sea after a fishing boat capsized in Oman. The accident took place in Muscat district.
According to a statement issued by the Civil Defense, the rescue operation was carried out with the help of fishermen. The three rescued were given first aid and later shifted to a hospital for specialist treatment. All three are reported to be natives. The Civil Defense demanded that those going for fishing should abide by all safety norms and check the condition of the sea to avoid danger before going to sea.
