jpnn.comJAKARTA – Indo Barometer Executive Director M Qodari assessed that Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia is the right person to become the General Chairperson of the Golkar Party to replace Airlangga Hartarto.

It is known that after Airlangga Hartarto’s resignation as General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Golkar Party on Saturday, August 10, 2024, the names of Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Bahlil Lahadalia and Bambang Soesatyo or Bamsoet appeared in the Golkar Ketum candidate exchange.

According to Qodari, there are 3 reasons why Bahlil is the right figure to become Golkar’s General Chair.

First, Bahlil has complete skills and experience. Bahlil’s background, starting his career as a student activist, to becoming a businessman and minister today, is able to shape him into a strong leader.

“So, Bahlil is a very complete figure, par excellence, he was once active in HMI, a youth organization that has the widest network in Indonesia and many of the nation’s leaders were born from the womb of HMI,” said Qodari, Friday (16/8/2024).

Qodari said that in addition to being active in youth organizations, Bahlil also pioneered a career as an entrepreneur by joining the Indonesian Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) and Bahlil’s career in HIPMI peaked when he was elected as the General Chair of HIPMI in 2015.

“So, there are two sides to Bahlil, the activist side, the political side, and the entrepreneur side, the economic actor, so it is very, very complete,” he said.

The second reason, said Qodari, is that even though he is relatively young, Bahlil has complete and long experience.
