QR Code Laws Will Not Affect Children

The system of QR codes in public places, railway and air transport will not affect minors, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said. She recalled that Russia has not yet made a decision on the vaccination of children.

“No, the law does not affect children and adolescents … Vaccination begins at the age of 18, and therefore all the regulation that is reflected here is aimed at citizens over 18,” Ms Golikova said at the briefing.

The government has submitted to the State Duma bills on QR codes in transport, shops and cafes. Before February 1, a negative test for COVID-19 can be presented to visit public places. Restrictions will affect places for holding public events, cultural institutions, catering, retail, rail and air transport. You will not need to present anything to visit pharmacies and stores that sell food and essential goods.

Plans for the introduction of QR codes – in the material “Kommersant” “Code and way out”.
