Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader urged the former student leaders to unite and work for the needs of the party.

He made this call in an exchange meeting with former Chhatra League leaders at the central office of Awami League on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Wednesday (July 31).

Obaidul Quader said, ‘Today we have to fight together. Shame should be forgotten. Today, if that animal power gets more indulgence, then we all have to fight unitedly.’

Calling for resistance against evil forces, liberation war, anti-democracy, he said, ‘Sheikh Hasina’s hand must be strengthened. He is the backbone of our existence right now.’

The bridge minister said that they could not attack Padma Bridge in the face of public resistance, but they succeeded in attacking Setu Bhawan, Elevated Expressway, BTV Bhawan and Metro Rail. The destruction of fire terror has started again. We must forget our differences and fight unitedly against this infernal violence.’

He said, ‘Ziaur Rahman was a masked freedom fighter. We need to know these people. Knowing their background will reveal the true face of the activities of their successors, which have now been exposed.’

Obaidul Quader said, ‘The bridge building has been completely burnt. BTV, the bearer and bearer of our history and culture, has been destroyed. Today we must fight this hellish rampage together. We must resist this evil force at any cost. Sheikh Hasina’s hand should be strengthened. He brought relief to national life.’
