Quarantine can be shortened thanks to measures

The previous procedure provided for such a free test from the tenth day of segregation at the earliest. “I made it easier for K1 contact persons to be segregated because I consider them to be an important step for our social coexistence in view of the duration of this pandemic. Since we protect every aspect of society well with suitable measures such as access controls and the requirement to wear a mask, we allow ourselves The safe framework conditions currently make this sensible adjustment, “said Health Minister Wolfgang Mückstein (Greens).

Any traffic restrictions for K2 contacts will also be adjusted: In future, these can be lifted on the fifth day, previously this was only possible from the tenth day.

The requirements of the Ministry for the official procedure for SARS-CoV-2 contact persons are general requirements for health authorities. However, the individual decision about segregation still rests with the local health authorities on the spot.
