HDFC Bank has announced its financial results for the first quarter ended June. Its net profit rose 19 percent to Rs 9,196 crore compared to the first quarter of last year.

HDFC, the country’s largest private sector bank, recently announced a merger with its home loan arm HDFC. Various departmental approvals are being received for the merger. In this case, HDFC Bank has announced the June quarter results. Its first quarter revenue rose 13 percent to Rs 41,560 crore. Revenue for the first quarter of 2021 was Rs 36,771 crore.

41,560 out of Rs.41,560 net interest income is Rs.19,481. This is a growth of 14.5 percent compared to the first quarter of last year. Similarly, non-interest income also increased from Rs 6,288 crore to Rs 9,011 crore compared to last year. Pre-provision profit rose 14.7% to Rs 15,367.8 crore.

Total non-performing loans stood at 1.28 percent in the first fiscal year. It was 1.47 percent in the first fiscal last year. HDFC Bank has opened 725 new branches in the last 12 months. It has added 29,039 employees. It added 10,932 employees and 36 new branches in the first quarter alone.
