Time.news – From today even Queen Elizabeth has her Barbie. Mattel, the historic parent company of the most famous doll in the world, has decided to pay homage to the sovereign of the United Kingdom who is preparing to celebrate 70 years of reign. And she did it today, on the day of Elizabeth II’s 96th birthday. The Queen’s Barbie is part of the “Tribute collection” that celebrates visionary women pioneers in various fields. A collection inaugurated last year with the American actress Lucille Ball.

The doll portrays the sovereign in an elegant ivory dress adorned with two ribbons, one pink and one blue, which recall those donated to the manarca by her father George VI and her grandfather George V. On the head, the tiara that the queen wore on the day of his marriage to Prince Philip.

On the dress of the sovereign there is also a pin that recalls that of the highest order of chivalry in the United Kingdom, the Order of the Garter. The Queen’s Barbie is on sale on the Mattel website and on Amazon for $ 75 (roughly 69 euros).
