Question Questions: When will the Exynos 2200 processor be announced and will it be integrated into the Galaxy S22 series?

by time news

The most intriguing question ahead of the series announcement event Galaxy S22 Samsung’s is “Which processor will be embedded in the devices?” A slight reminder: To date, Samsung has released two editions of its devices, one with the Snapdragon processor and the other with Exynos. Samsung has divided the world when the US and Korea reach the device market with Snapdragon while the whole world gets the devices with the Exynos processor.

End of last year Samsung Tweeted On her Twitter account that on January 11, 2022 she is about to announce the new processor Exynos 2200. Along with the tweet the company released an introductory video to the event and attached the tag to it Playtime Is Over#. As mentioned the date has passed, the event did not take place and Samsung has imitated every trace of the tweet including downloading the video. At the same time Samsung has confirmed that the new processor will integrate AMD’s RNDA2 graphics processor. The new processor will be manufactured using 4 nanometer technology similar to the competitor Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Now that the official announcement date has passed, many have wondered what is happening to it and whether we will really get to see it embedded within the Galaxy S22 series. To media questions in Korea, Samsung confirmed that it had postponed the Exynos 2200 announcement event. In addition, one of the company’s executives was quoted as saying that “We plan to unveil the new processor by the time we announce a new smartphone from our product״ ״ We are planning to unveil the new application processor at the time of launching a new Samsung smartphone“. The senior official added that “There is no problem with CPU manufacturing and performance“. The senior bothered to point out that the new processor has no problem with its performance as the network has often published data indicating the weakness of the Exynos 2200 compared to Qualcomm’s competitor.

On first reading, Samsung seems to have postponed the CPU announcement event and attached it to the Galaxy S22 series announcement event. This is where the question comes in. Will Samsung really be able to do this? According to the publications, the combination between Samsung’s processor and the graphics processor is not going as planned and there the company has encountered problems. This is probably the reason for the delay in his announcement. Will Samsung be able to solve the problems in order to meet the announcement date of the new series? It is not yet known but there is another option which connects to recent publications on the subject. If you look closely at the seniors at Samsung, he said the new processor will be announced along with a new smartphone but did not mention the Galaxy S22 series. It is therefore possible that he even intends to announce the new folders later this year and not to announce the Galaxy S22 series. Which means the Galaxy S22 series will be launched with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor as previously evaluated.

After all this, the bottom line is that you know nothing clearly and decisively even after Samsung’s statement. We’ll wait and see.
