BJP lawmaker H Viswanathan has criticized the puppet-led government of Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj for promoting religious politics and keeping silent on the injustices being perpetrated against Muslim traders in Hindu temples.

He also said that untouchability would be encouraged without taking any action regarding the denial of permission to Muslim traders and vendors in Hindu temples.

Hindu temple administrations, Muslim traders and vendors in Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Sivmoga in Karnataka have been denied permission to do business.
The Karnataka government has expressed support for the temple administration’s move.

Speaking on the occasion, H. Viswanathan said that Muslims live in other countries as well. They sell food and flowers. How is that the problem. That is their business. What Muslim people eat. Whether Hindu or Muslim, this is a question that raises a hungry stomach. He noted that doing so is untouchable.
