According to the State Border Committee of Belarus, more than 2,000 trucks are waiting for their turn to enter the European Union.

More than 1,300 trucks are waiting in the Lithuanian direction, the queue at the Belarusian-Polish crossing Kozlovichi — Kukuriki has increased significantly (from 70 to 650 trucks).

Drivers attribute this fact to the complete closure of the border between Russia and Finland, where 8 crossings for cargo transport were previously operating. According to the website trans.ru, about 100 trucks per day passed through the border crossings in Finland, which is 15% of the total flow from the EZ; the main flow of EZ to Russia goes through Lithuania and Poland.

The head of the logistics department of one of the major European companies in Russia Yevhenii Dyatlov trans.ru reported that now the carriers will reorient themselves to other routes, for example Estonian, because the queue at the border crossing with Latvia already lasts about 7 days. Perhaps, he said, it would be more profitable to deliver goods through Estonia, first by sea, and then by road transport.

But today Estonia announced the possible closure of all checkpoints with Russia.

Therefore, only routes through Belarus remain as carriers. The Polish side stated that the queue at the Kukurika-Kozlovichi checkpoint for entry into Belarus lasts 16 hours, although yesterday it was reported about 13 hours of planned waiting of trucks in the queue.
