Mayor Muñoz also asked to speed up the investigation of the events and make available to the affected person the social policy tools of the MunicipalityHe said he would soon present the Quito Trade Plan, which has not existed since 2015.
He recalled that, due to the country’s economic crisis, the city is suffering from high unemployment and informal employment rates and, therefore, the policy of this Mayor’s Office is to respect the right to work, maintaining order in the city. The Mayor announced that the controls are carried out with the firm intention of respecting human rights and, at the same time, complying with the regulations on the use of public space. (EC)
