First publication: The divorcee who threatened Rabab Abu Siam’s life fled the country before the murder last night, this was announced today (Wednesday) in the evening news at Khan 11. About a week ago he sent her a threatening message and at this stage he was already not in the country. As of now, the police have no idea who did the shooting and are still looking for the assassins.

The police told Abu Siam on Friday that the threat to her life was real, but they had no one to arrest because the divorcee had fled the country. He is expected to be arrested as soon as he returns to Israel, if he does. According to the suspicion, he sent the shooters and paid for the murder.

Rabab Abu Siam, 30, was shot dead last night in the yard of her home. The family claims she returned from the shelter without their knowledge to see her daughters. But from checking the news here it emerged that Abu Siam did not stay in a shelter for women victims of violence in the recent period and apparently stayed with relatives.

According to the police, who treated Shibab under the “intimidated woman procedure”, she was asked several times to stay in a shelter or a hidden apartment. Abu Siam, a mother of three daughters, a primary school teacher, got divorced about two months ago, and was threatened by her ex-husband. Her daughters and parents were at home at the time of the incident, and saw a masked man dressed in black clothing shoot at her several times and flee the scene in a white vehicle, which was later found burned in a wadi in the area. One of the girls witnessed the shooting.

Mohammed Abu Siam, Rabab’s father, said: “I was inside the house when the incident happened. She was with her three girls in the yard. My wife went in to get a watermelon, saw someone come in. Rabab was sitting with the girl. We called them to eat. A man dressed in black with a mask came into The yard, felt very safe. It didn’t stop him that she had a child in her arms. She tried to fight him off. He gave her about seven bullets in the head, ending up with my child. The little girl was full of blood.”
