The strong historical ties between the two countries are promised an even better future thanks to the innovative, renewed and deep-rooted partnership, launched this Monday in Abu Dhabi on the occasion of the working and fraternal visit of HM King Mohammed VI to the United Arab Emirates.
An innovative partnership par excellence, through its commitment to broader future horizons of bilateral cooperation, and renewed by the fact that it constitutes a new pillar in the solid edifice of bilateral ties, embodied by the depth of the authentic and fraternal relations uniting the two Nations.
Rabat and Abu Dhabi are determined to capitalize on the achievements and, above all, to enhance the potential and opportunities available on both sides in sectors as varied as they are innovative.
Infrastructure, water, energy, sustainable development, as well as communications and the digital economy are key areas identified in the Declaration “Towards an innovative, renewed and rooted partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the State of the United Arab Emirates”, signed by HM King Mohammed VI and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Ben Zayed Al Nahyan.
The development and planning of the integrated “Dakhla Gateway to Africa” project, the development of airports and port infrastructure and the High Speed Train are all major structuring projects that demonstrate the current dynamics of Moroccan-Emirati relations.
Another unique fact of this partnership is that the two countries are committed to exploring opportunities for strategic cooperation in food security, green hydrogen, electricity transport and maritime trade.
Aiming to elevate relations between the two countries to an even higher level, this Declaration between Morocco and EEAU lays the foundations for a model of global and balanced economic cooperation and investment according to a pragmatic and concrete approach.
A revealing dimension of this historic partnership, the principles governing cooperation between the two brotherly countries are based on active solidarity and a resolute commitment to a win-win partnership capable of providing a strong boost to economic development and investment in both countries.
In order to bring this exceptional partnership to fruition, Morocco and the United Arab Emirates have agreed on financing methods, an essential phase of any successful partnership dynamic. They have also agreed, in this context, to set up implementation and monitoring mechanisms.
This means that the two countries are resolutely committed to giving new impetus to their relations and to establishing their exceptional partnership over the long term in the service of shared progress and prosperity.
