Speaking on this occasion, Nizar Berdai, President of the Moroccan Association of Young Parliamentarians (AMJP), initiator of this event, expressed the Association’s satisfaction with the results achieved during this edition, reaffirming the mobilization of all members of the AMJP to continue the action in the service of the nation.

He also highlighted the opening of the Moroccan Parliament to all institutions and bodies with a view to making youth an essential lever for development, through legislative and monitoring mechanisms, noting that the AMJP aims to present its proposals and recommendations in the form of draft laws and public policy monitoring reports to all sectors concerned.

In addition to the AMJP’s action to promote the integration of young people into political life, the association, he continued, aims to share the view that young people have on several priority issues.

Since its creation, the association has worked to encourage young Moroccans to take an interest in political and parliamentary life through the development of a sense of leadership and the creation of a space for debate on the major issues of tomorrow, he noted.

For her part, the president of the executive office of AMJP, Ikram Bendraou, emphasized the need to strengthen communication between political leaders and young people, and to take into consideration their opinions and proposals, considering that the involvement of young people in the political field constitutes a real investment in the future, strengthening their role in inclusive development.

This legislative session, which saw the participation of 90 young people from different regions of the Kingdom, in addition to Moroccans from around the world, was marked by simulations of the action of different commissions, in particular, those of the productive, social, education, culture and communication, justice, legislation and human rights sectors…

The Youth Parliament of Morocco is a parliamentary simulation that aims to integrate young people into political life and encourage them to take an interest in it at the local and national levels, through debates covering various aspects of social, economic and political issues.

AMJP is a civil initiative that aims to promote the involvement of young Moroccans in politics and the parliamentary system, while giving them the opportunity to actively participate in the development of the Kingdom to anchor the democratic process launched under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
