Rabbi Boruria Binenfeld, daughter of the elder of the religious Zionist rabbis, Rabbi Haim Druckman, commented on her father’s medical condition and said that the doctors had already prepared them for the worst.
In an interview with Kol Chai radio, Binnefeld said: “Thank God. We were lucky. A great miracle happened yesterday. They called us, God forbid, to say goodbye to father. But together with the prayers, he woke up, and he responded to us and the doctors. It was very, very moving. We have to keep praying. We hope May the miracle continue. We have a lot of hope.”
On behalf of the family and the students, Rabbi Binnefeld asked to continue praying for the healing of Rabbi Chaim Meir Ben Milka for a complete recovery.
As mentioned, since yesterday morning Rabbi Druckman’s condition worsened, and in consultation with the doctors he was transferred to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital for comprehensive examinations and treatment as needed. Along with the aggravation, the rabbi’s condition is still defined as being in a difficult and stable condition.
Following the deterioration of his condition, the Bnei Akiva movement, the Bnei Akiva Or Etzion Yeshiva and other parties held a special prayer rally last night for his healing at the Bnei Akiva Or Etzion Yeshiva.
Prime Minister-designate Binyamin Netanyahu joined the prayers for the healing of Rabbi Chaim Druckman: “I pray from the bottom of my heart, along with many of the people of Israel, for the healing of Rabbi Chaim Meir ben Milka Druckman. Please do not heal him,” Netanyahu tweeted.
