by time news

To establish in us the sages of Israel: The 81-year-old Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Machfod, head of the “Yora Dea” Jewish religious school and one of the great rabbis of Yemen, was admitted to the hospital.

Rabbi Mahfoud was not feeling well on Shabbat evening, and it was reported from his home that after consulting with his personal doctor, it was decided to take the rabbi to the hospital “for the purposes of follow-up and supervision under hospitalization.”

The public is requested to pray for the complete healing of the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Yosef ben Hamma Yona for complete healing among the rest of Israel’s sick.

The Geresh Mahfoud was born in the year 1978, in the village of Yemen, to his father, Rabbi Yosef, who was the rabbi of the village of Sayev. When he was ten years old, he immigrated to Israel with his family and, after wandering between the crossings, settled in the Sha’aria neighborhood in Petah Tikva.

In Petach Tikva he studied at the Shaarit Yisrael school of the independent school and he chose to study at the Kol Torah and Ponivez yeshiva.

After his marriage to Rabbi Sarah, a daughter of the Giat family, he studied at the Kollel in Bnei Brak and began to learn butchering and piercing, and then began working under the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Landa, in the urban kashrut system in Bnei Brak. Later, the slaughtering system was also integrated and he was the head of the peckers.

After the death of Geri Landa, he founded the “Neva Zion” kosher system and about 15 years later he founded the “Yora Dea” kosher system, and has been its head ever since.

In addition, the rabbi is considered an expert teacher and for decades has trained thousands of children.
