quota : Coaching student Rachit Sondhia, who was missing from Mukandra Tiger Reserve in Kota city of Rajasthan for 9 days, has been traced. Rachit Sondhia has died and his body has been found stuck on a tree in the forest of Chambal Mukandra Tiger Reserve. It is believed that Rachit has committed suicide by going to the Tiger Reserve. Kota’s newly appointed SP Dr Amrita Dohan has told NBT that perhaps Rachit Sondhiya jumped from above in the Chambal valley and instead of falling in the river, he got stuck on the trees. He died after getting injured during this period.
Rachit was missing since 11th February
It is noteworthy that Rachit was missing since February 11. Rachit, a resident of Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh, was continuously being searched by Kota Police, Forest Department, Municipal Corporation divers and SDRF teams. He was being searched in the Chambal River and the forest of Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve. After his son was not found, the father had got his missing posters pasted in Kota. There was also talk of appropriate reward. But perhaps what they feared happened after all.
Was preparing after staying in Kota for two years
Let us tell you that Rachit was preparing for JEE entrance exam after staying in Kota for 2 years. He had left his hostel and hired a cab and reached the Guardia Mahadev entry point of Mukundara Tiger. After this he went missing. Today late Monday evening, his body was found stuck on a tree in Chambal valley. SP Amrit Dohan conducted the search operation today by deploying additional police. During this period the team got success. Family members were also present during the search operation. After the revelation of the incident, the family is in bad condition and crying.
Police will do fresh investigation, will try to find out suicide or murderThe SP said that prima facie the family members identified him. His body is being brought to Kota by boat. The post-mortem of his body will be conducted at night itself. If the collector has permission, otherwise his post-mortem can be conducted on Tuesday morning. The police will now investigate the entire matter afresh. Because the student has committed suicide after reaching Mukundara Tiger Reserve.
