Austria: Widespread protests against racism and misogyny at the Austrian Grand Prix 2022. Formula One (F1) authorities have come forward to condemn the incident. In a press release, F1 stated that such abuses will not be accepted and strong action will be taken. An investigation has also been announced.

Mercedes star Lewis Hamilton also protested. Hamilton said authorities should step in to make all venues safe for fans. The protest was sparked by a group of fans racially abusing some people and touching women badly during the Austrian Grand Prix. One hundred and five thousand fans came to watch the match.
