Russian gas supplies to Hungary through the Balkan Stream gas pipeline, which bypasses the territory of Ukraine, will lead to the collapse of Ukraine, Ilya Kiva, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Opposition Platform – For Life faction, said on his Telegram channel.

Kiva recalled that Gazprom and Hungary signed a 15-year contract. The document assumes the supply of 4.5 billion cubic meters. meters of gas annually bypassing the territory of Ukraine. The deputy called this decision “the destruction of the Ukrainian gas transportation system, which brings about $ 3 billion to the Ukrainian budget annually.”

“All this was done to please their American partners and definitely not for free, who so wanted to sell their liquefied gas to Europe, but lost the Russian market. And Ukraine, playing along with America in this game, simply destroyed its economy and future, ”the deputy said.

Hungary signed an agreement with the Russian “Gazprom” for the supply of gas bypassing Ukraine, guided by its own needs, this should not be confused with political issues, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said earlier.

“In fact, we need gas, and energy supply and energy security issues should not be confused with political criticism of Russia,” he told Hungary today.

The agreement entered into force on October 1 and is calculated until the end of 2036. As part of the deal, Gazprom will supply 4.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually to Hungary via two routes: 3.5 billion cubic meters through Serbia and 1 billion cubic meters through Austria …

Gas supplies along this route became possible thanks to the construction by FGSZ of a new main gas pipeline in Hungary, as well as the completion of the expansion of national gas transmission systems in Bulgaria and Serbia, the company added, Gazprom reported.
