The meeting was chaired by the interim governor of the province of El Jadida, Mohamed Samir El Khamlichi, in the presence of representatives of local authorities and relevant ministries, a statement from the authority said.

In his speech, the interim governor praised the efforts made by RADEEJ under the supervision of the general manager, Bouchra Barradi, and welcomed the adoption of the official accounts of the agency without any reservation.

Mr. El Khamlichi also highlighted management tools, the enshrinement of the principles of good governance and the efforts made to improve the quality of services provided to customers.

The members of the board of directors unanimously adopted the items on the agenda for the session.

This session was marked by the presentation of the achievements and official accounts of the administration for the 2022 financial year.

In this regard, the general director of RADEEJ, Bouchra Barradi, presented a presentation on the main projects carried out by the agency in 2022, with a total budget of 259.29 million dirhams.

The Director General reaffirmed the commitment of the authority to pursue its development plans aimed at improving the services provided to the population of the provinces of El Jadida and Sidi Bennour, through the implementation of several structuring and structural projects in the various sectors of intervention of the authority.

With regard to the electricity sector, RADEEJ has worked to restructure and strengthen the network, to renew and extend the low voltage network and to generalize remote control installations and equipment: with an investment of around 49.88 million dirhams.

In the drinking water sector, the drinking water supply network was strengthened and extended, under-equipped neighborhoods were connected, and two reservoirs were set up in Moulay Abdellah, a hydraulic complex in Sidi Bennour, and a raised reservoir in the commune of Sidi Smail. These projects cost a budget of 59.1 million dirhams.

To improve the living conditions of the population and preserve the environment, RADEEJ has ensured investment in the liquid sanitation sector and the fight against pollution through the extension and reinforcement of the network, the equipment of under-equipped neighborhoods and the construction of wastewater treatment plants in Sidi Bennour and Sidi Smail with a budget of 140.43 million dirhams.

Regarding the modernization of administration and management tools, RADEEJ invested in 2022 in the development and modernization of the administrative structures of the authority and the further improvement of the level of security of the authority’s sensitive sites with an investment of around 9.83 million dirhams.

The year 2022 was also marked by the performance of financial and technical indices, illustrated by the extension of distribution networks, which reached a length of 2,341 for electricity, 1,962 for drinking water and 1,287 for liquid sanitation.

It is also about preserving the performance of the networks with 94.69% for electricity and 76.48% for drinking water, in addition to achieving a turnover of 942 million dirhams. Similarly, the net result improved by 110.91% with profits of around 60.96 million dirhams in 2022 against 28.90 million dirhams in 2021.

The total value of the agency’s investments for the period 2018 and 2022 amounted to 978.64 million dirhams.
