A program dedicated to equal rights for LGBTQ+ people, broadcast for 17 years by Hong Kong public radio, ended this Sunday (29). The deletion of the “We are Family” show, broadcast since 2006 by government-funded Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), comes after Beijing crushed the pro-democracy movement and imposed the 2020 National Security Law, which opponents say have silenced dissenting voices.
