Radoslav Rosenov qualified for the quarter-finals of the European Boxing Championship for men and women under 23, which is held in Sofia.
The national player delighted the audience in the “Sofia” hall with a second beautiful victory since the start of the tournament. In the category up to 60 kilograms, he defeated the representative of Wales, Owen Harris-Allen, with a 5:0 judge’s vote.
Rosenov was decisive in the first two rounds, which he won very convincingly. In the third, he allowed himself some relaxation, which, however, did not affect the final result in any way. Thus, one of the three men’s representatives of Bulgaria at the Olympic Games in Paris came one step closer to winning a medal. He is separated from him by Ruslan Gadirov (Azerbaijan). Their quarterfinal match will be held on October 16, Rosenov.
Later today in the evening session, which starts at 17:30, we will see two more Bulgarians. In the sixth bout in ring “B” Rumen Rumenov (67 kg) will box with Luke Hall (Ireland). In the tenth match of the list, William Cholov (75 kg) will face Garik Antanosyan (Armenia).
