Rafael Castaño completed the well-known Rosco of the Spanish participation program Pass word, winning the biggest jackpot in the history of the show: an impressive amount of 2,272,000 euros!

When he reached ‘Z’ and replied ‘zabro’, there was a total, deathly silence. After a few seconds of uncertainty, the presenter Roberto Leal exclaimed a euphoric “Yes!”, and the Sevillian contestant put his hands to his head in a sign of disbelief. This was the moment he had been waiting for in his 197 appearances on the show.

Beside him, Orestes applauded his opponent’s achievement: “Congratulations, uncle.” The confetti fell while Rafa tried to understand what was happening. Who is Rafa the winner of ‘Pasalabra’?

Rafael Castaño, born in Seville in 1990, graduated in Journalism. His first foray into the world of television was at the age of 18 when he participated in “Guess Who’s Who” where he only lasted two shows and won 1,500 euros.

But six months later, Castaño returned to compete in Pass wordtaking more than 4,300 hits on the rosco and accumulating a total of 127,000 euros in prizes before finally completing it tonight.
