Dancer, host and now actor Raghav Juyal is in the news for his film ‘Kill’ and web series ‘Gyaarah Gyaarah’. In an exclusive interview with Navbharat Times, Raghav said that after playing the role of a dacoit and a policeman, he now wants to play the role of a common man. He also revealed a shocking incident that happened to him.
Raghav Juyal, who recently won accolades for his role as a bandit in the film ‘Kill’, was also recently seen in the role of a policeman on OTT. In an exclusive conversation with us, he said that now he wants to play the role of a normal person:Recently you have become a dacoit and a policeman. What do you want to become after this?
(Laughs) Now maybe becoming an LIC agent is still left. I mean I want to play the role of a normal person who has a normal life. The guy is returning home comfortably. Eating and drinking with the family. Here the role of the police has become extreme, it has become that of a dacoit. That is why I am saying that now give me a normal role.
In your recent web series ‘Gyaarah Gyaarah’, you appeared in a completely opposite style from the recently released film ‘Kill’?
I understood that because of so much action in ‘Kill’, the children’s audience had gone away from me. I felt that I should become a good child again. When my mother saw the film ‘Kill’, she said that you have left me with no face to show anywhere. Then Umesh sir told her that you don’t worry. I will improve his image in 1 month. By the way, I have been improving my image for the last three-four years.
Have you ever felt in real life that strange incidents like those in your series have happened to you?
I once had an out of body experience. I was sleeping. Suddenly I saw my own body. It felt like I was in a dream. I somehow woke up because I thought it was a dream. I went back to sleep and felt like I was awake and I could see my body. I turned over again and had the same experience again. Then I realized that this is an out of body experience. I didn’t know what it meant then. I went back to sleep and saw that I was outside and I saw that the fan was still running, the whole house was the same, it just looked a little different. Then I woke up and searched about it on my laptop. I saw many cases of people having outer body experiences. Different tribes connect this experience with different things. This has happened to me only once. I want this to happen again and again, so roam around America overnight without a visa and come back in the morning (laughs).

In this way, you will reach a different level of time travel?
Of course, the experience of visiting Times Square in America without a visa is different. You must have felt something like this sometime. I think this is not just about me or you, but about everyone. That means something like this must have happened in everyone’s life at some point or the other. The only issue is when do you become aware of this situation or such an experience. This happens to everyone. Like some people feel that this incident has happened to me.
You guys shot your web series in Uttarakhand. Did you play any pranks with your colleagues?
Our shooting experience was amazing. Shooting outdoors is a different kind of fun. If we prank someone in such a real location, we will be pranked. There we were sometimes shooting on the top of a mountain, sometimes on a mountain. There was a thousand feet deep gorge ahead. We shot in very cold weather.
It is every actor’s dream to be a part of such a script, I got a good opportunity.

What was your reaction when you received the offer for this series?I felt that I am getting an opportunity to work with such good makers and directors. It is every actor’s dream to be a part of such a script. Such a good story, such a good screenplay, such a good concept, so I didn’t think much and said yes. I believe that you have to climb one step at a time to move forward in life. That’s why I consider playing a character in this web series as a great achievement for me.
