The miscreants attacked the house of Rahul Anand, the leader of Jakar Sang. His house has been burnt down – this news has been published by different media of the country and is also floating on social media.

On August 9, a post was given on the official page of Rahul Anand’s band ‘Jaler Gun’. In this post, Farhana Hamid, one of the owners of fashion house Khot, shared a status and wrote – ‘Please, read the text and know the truth.’ What truth is hidden in the writing of Farhana Hamid?

At the beginning, Farhana Hamid writes, “Rahul Anand’s house was not set on fire, looted or vandalized. The main motive behind the fire was the present ‘Bangabandhu Museum and part of its future plans’ of 32.”

Describing the location of Rahul Anand’s house, Farhana Hamid writes, ‘Rahulda lived on rent in a one-storey house. On one side their family, on the other side water song studio (I have seen many people talking about this house in the video). That house was privately owned. 32 has many more such homes there. Unfortunately for Rahulda and her family, this magical house was surrounded by the walls of the new museum and behind Santur, so her house was also set on fire.’

Religion has nothing to do with setting fire to Rahul Anand’s house. Claiming this, Farhana Hamid writes, ‘They would not have given this family a chance to go out like this if they set fire to Rahulda. And it is impossible to get out of that house if you don’t give a chance. Rahulda’s religion, caste, caste and culture have nothing to do with the fire in Rahulda’s house. So I request you not to spread such rumours.

Farhana Hamid urged everyone to be aware. In his words, “any rumor can take a terrible form in this situation of the country. We become conscious. A family, a team’s long-term pursuit, a child’s childhood has all been burnt to ashes. And don’t let anyone burn anything. Let love come down to the hearts of people, if you are by their side, I will sing along with the ‘water song’ again – ‘Can you find such a country anywhere / the queen of all countries is my homeland.’

Requesting the return of the musical instrument of ‘Jaler Gan’ if anyone finds it, Farhana Hamid writes, ‘Each musical instrument of Jaler Gan is handcrafted over a long period of time and is known to almost everyone. If anyone finds it somewhere, please return it.’

Referring to personal thoughts, Farhana Hamid writes, ‘I personally am not in favor of setting fire anywhere. Certainly not in favor of setting fire to an important history of the country like the Bangabandhu Museum. At this time I am aware of the attack on minorities and strongly against it. But that does not mean that the home is not attacked because of religion, caste, culture. But for some reason rumors are spreading and those rumors cannot be called rumours.’
