The winter session of Parliament turned chaotic as a security breach in the Lok Sabha led to a huge protest by opposition MPs. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi pointed the finger at Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of instigating the disruption and bringing opposition MPs to create a ruckus in the House.

Joshi claimed that the opposition MPs had already decided not to participate in any discussion and had planned to disrupt the session. Despite the Speaker’s plea for cooperation and a ban on placards, the opposition MPs disregarded the request and continued to disrupt the proceedings.

The demand for a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah further exacerbated the situation, leading to the suspension of 146 opposition MPs from both houses, marking the first time in history that such a large number of MPs had been suspended.

The security breach in the Lok Sabha also triggered a high-level investigation, with the matter being handed over to the Delhi Police. An FIR has been registered and several individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Furthermore, three more opposition members were suspended from the Lok Sabha, bringing the total number of suspended MPs to 146. The mass suspension was a result of allegations that the MPs had disrupted the functioning of both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

The chaos in Parliament has sparked a heated debate, with the opposition MPs demanding a direct explanation from Amit Shah and the government defending the actions taken against the disruptive MPs. As the winter session continues, the repercussions of this unprecedented suspension of MPs are likely to reverberate throughout the political landscape.
