Washington: Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has gone on a visit to America. Here he met people of Indian origin. On the other hand, Congress leader Sam Pitroda on Monday responded to the opposition’s ‘Pappu’ statement against Rahul Gandhi. He said that BJP is spending crores of rupees to run a campaign against him. Addressing the NRIs in Texas, Sam Pitroda said, ‘He (Rahul Gandhi) has a viewpoint opposite to the views being promoted by BJP by spending crores of rupees. Let me tell you that he is not a Pappu.’ Pitroda said, ‘He is very educated. He is a strategist with deep thinking on any subject. Sometimes it is not very easy to understand him.’ Pitroda praised Rahul Gandhi and said that his agenda is to celebrate diversity. He said, ‘Rahul Gandhi has a different agenda which is more focused on something that we have been trying to address for a long time, but have not been able to address properly. That is inclusion, celebrating diversity.’

He said, ‘When Rahul Gandhi last came to meet us in a big meeting in New York, he was asked to come to Dallas and he promised that he will come to Dallas during his next visit. Speaking at the same event in Texas, Rahul Gandhi attacked BJP and RSS. He said, ‘RSS believes that India is just an idea. We believe that India is not just an idea but a country with many ideas. We believe that everyone should have the right to dream, they should get a chance regardless of their caste, language, religion and tradition.’ He further said that this has become clear in the elections. Millions of people understood that the Prime Minister of India was attacking the Constitution.
