Demonstrations were held across the country on behalf of the Congress today against the rise in prices, increase in GST and unemployment. Many people including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and other prominent leaders of the party have been arrested for participating in the protest.
Rahul Gandhi also criticized the BJP regime. BJP has responded to Rahul Gandhi’s allegation.
BJP President Ravi Shankar Prasad said:-
The Congress leader makes shameful and irresponsible comments. Rahul Gandhi’s grandmother and then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed Emergency and took away the democratic rights of the people. Why do you blame democracy when people reject you again and again? Is there democracy within your party?
The Enforcement Directorate is investigating Rahul Gandhi and Congress president Sonia Gandhi in the National Herald case. Rahul Gandhi has to answer how the Young Indian company, in which the two Gandhis have 76 per cent stake, bought over Rs 5,000 crore worth of National Herald assets with an investment of just Rs 5 lakh.
The Justice Department refused to drop the charges against them. Now he blames the investigative bodies. Rahul Gandhi will face consequences for what he did. You will have to face the investigation and answer the questions of the enforcement department. They are protesting on the pretext of rising prices and unemployment.
