Rahul Gandhi’s office vandalized by SFI activists; Conflict

Kalpetta: SFI activists marched on Rahul Gandhi’s office demanding his intervention in the buffer zone issue. The march to the MP’s office in Kalpetta Kainatti turned violent and culminated in clashes. Workers smashed furniture inside the office.

Activists stormed the office and rioted. Only employees were in the office at this time. Damage was reported, including furniture. The shutters of the office were then lowered and police intervened. There was a dispute between the activists and the police on the national highway. Protesters, including women activists, took to the streets.

The Left Front alleges that Rahul Gandhi MP is not putting pressure on the central government on the buffer zone issue. Rahul Gandhi wrote a letter to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on the issue. The Left Front demands that it does not matter and that it should intervene effectively.

Congress has accused him of beating up furniture and beating office workers. Congress leader T Siddique MLA alleged that the SFI activists were goons. He said the violence was planned and demanded that the Chief Minister respond to the law and order situation in the state.

Shafi Parampil MLA alleged that the attack was unjustified. Shafi Parampil said that this is an unheard of incident in Kerala and we are waiting to know the response of the Chief Minister on the issue.

KSU state president K.M. Abhijit said. These criminals are protesting the action of their leadership which is unable to stand. Abhijit also said that it was bad.
