‘Rahul insulted Savarkar, will struggle to walk on road’; Eknath Shinde with threat

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that Rahul Gandhi insulted Savarkar. He said that Savarkar is not only the idol of Maharashtra but also of the country itself. In a press conference after his disqualification, Rahul had said that his name was not Savarkar but Gandhi when asked if he would apologise.

Rahul Gandhi said that he is not Savarkar to apologize. What did he think of Savarkar? Rahul Gandhi has insulted Savarkar. He should be punished’, Shinde said. Eknath Shinde said that if Rahul Gandhi continues like this, it will be difficult for him to walk on the road.

“Rahul Gandhi has been disqualified because of the law made by the Congress. Lalu Prasad Yadav has already been disqualified. But there was nothing like it. Wasn’t democracy in danger then? Rahul Gandhi did not only criticize Prime Minister Narendra Modi, OBC. The entire sect was insulted. He is continuing this,” Shinde said. He added that Rahul Gandhi will find it difficult to walk on the road if this continues.

Shinde’s remarks came after Rahul Gandhi’s press conference after his disqualification. Asked by a media representative whether he would end the matter by apologizing for the disqualification incident, Rahul replied that his name is not Savarkar but Gandhi and that Gandhi would never apologise.
