Sydney: Former players have criticized Indian opener and vice-captain KL Rahul, who is in poor form in the T20 World Cup. Even when Rahul scores runs, the player’s strike rate is also a question mark. Now, former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer has come out in support of Rahul.
“I think KL Rahul is a better player than the numbers suggest. During our previous visit to Australia, he was in great form. After that, he was injured. Then he had to come back. So, it’s a bit difficult to maintain the same rhythm’.
‘You know he’s been injured twice. That might be a reason. But I mean obviously there are numbers. He wants to improve those numbers. “He is a great player in Test cricket and he is amazing in T20 and ODIs,” said Wasim Jaffer.
