Muscat: Muscat Municipality raided a house where expatriate workers were staying in Oman. The inspection was conducted in a house in Seeb Vilayam. The inspection found that residential buildings violated the norms to be followed.
In a statement, the municipality said the house was inspected for hosting expatriate workers in violation of the rules prescribed for the use of residential buildings in Muscat Governorate. Action was taken against the owner of the building after the premises were found to be unsanitary for accommodating more people than permitted. The municipality asked the building owners to comply with the norms regarding the number of occupants and cleanliness of the rooms in the residential buildings.
