Kuwait City: In Kuwait, authorities continue to carry out extensive inspections aimed at arresting law-breaking expatriates. The General Administration of Residency Affairs Investigations and the Department of Research and Investigations conducted joint raids at various places yesterday, arresting many expatriates including women.

Officials have arrested three expatriates from Farwaniya governorate for violating labor and residence laws. Inspections were also conducted last day to target house cleaning workers who are staying in the country in violation of labor laws and residence laws. During the raids in Al Dajij area, six people were arrested who were violators of the residency law. Five of them were absconding from their sponsors and doing other jobs. A man who was not carrying any identification documents was also arrested. Officials informed that legal action is being taken against all those caught.

Kuwait City: An expatriate who operated a liquor factory in Kuwait was arrested. He was arrested by the Home Ministry officials from Ahmadi Governorate. An Asian man was arrested. He ran a liquor factory in his apartment by refilling locally produced liquor in foreign-made liquor bottles. The arrested expatriate was handed over to the concerned departments for further legal proceedings.
