This year too, Raiffeisen Burgenland is supporting six non-profit organizations and associations with a donation check of 2,000 euros each. “The trust of our approximately 245,000 customers makes us the first point of contact in Burgenland for financial matters. Even in difficult times, we contribute to the economic well-being of people in our state, but let’s not forget our social responsibility. “For this reason we have once again decided to limit the distribution of gifts on savings days and to support six charitable initiatives active in Burgenland,” explains Rudolf Könighofer, General Director of Raiffeisenlandesbank Burgenland.

In particular, the Burgenland Relief Organization, one of the largest providers of social services in Burgenland, the Caritas Burgenland, which supports people in need, and the Elisabeth-Heim Jennersdorf, a care facility that offers elderly people complete and a loving home. The Pöttsching Children’s Village and the SOS Pinkafeld Children’s Village also receive a donation: the facilities offer children and young people in difficult life situations a safe home and support their development in a family environment. A check will also go to the Sterntalerhof children’s hospice with the “House of Stars”, which offers acute bereavement support to families in which a parent or child has died.

The social commitment on the occasion of World Savings Day is underlined once again: Raiffeisen stands for collective and solidarity action. True to the slogan “We make it possible”, we help people who are not doing so well.
