New Delhi: The CCI has taken action against seven companies involved in railway trade contract irregularities.
Indian Railways contracts with private companies for construction and manufacture of rail spare parts. The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has taken action against seven private companies and ten individuals currently involved in trade deals with the Indian Railways.

These companies have been accused of being involved in tender allocation and financial irregularities. It has been alleged that the contract for the manufacture and supply of safety giant tubes for trains was misused. The companies are seeking to reduce the CCI’s fine for this offense under Section 46 of the Coptic Act.
