Cloudy skies and the possibility of thunderstorms throughout the day in different parts of El Salvador are forecast for this Wednesday by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.
Meteorologist David Pichinte Quele said that it will be rainy in some coastal areas at dawn, with cloudy skies in the rest of the territory. During the morning, the sky will be between slightly and partly cloudy, with the possibility of showers around noon in the central-western volcanic belt and in the northwest.
During the afternoon, cloud cover is expected to increase in high areas, with the possibility of showers and storms in mountain areas and in different parts of the volcanic mountain range, with emphasis on the northern and western areas, extending towards their surroundings and close to the central departments.
Meanwhile, towards the end of the afternoon and early evening, the possibility of showers will continue in the northern, central and western areas, and storms are also expected in the vicinity of the Gulf of Fonseca, extending towards the eastern departments and their coasts, some of which may move out to sea until around dawn on Thursday.
The meteorologist added that temperatures will be cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon.
